This page hasn’t been updated for a while and I know people come here to check dates for their training records and download presentations from the events.
I’ve had some problems uploading the presentations and when I get the time I’ll see what I can do to fix it and maybe organise the information in a more straightforward format. It might be better to do blog posts for each of the events with the presentations and have a table on this page linking to the individual pages. Andrew

The next event after Theatre Clwyd will be at the Woodlands in Chorley on Thursday 14th July. and the flyer can be downloaded here.
Taking Stock this year will take place on Friday 21st October and how has its own page which can be found here or via the menu bar at the top of the page.
Woodlands, Chorley – Thursday 14th July 2016
There is a clear AMHP focus in the morning, with a presentation from Kevin Stone, an academic from the University of the West of England and a practising AMHP, talking about his recent findings from research into AMHP decision-making, and Steve Chamberlain, the Chair of the AMHP Leads Network, talking about AMHP regulation.
In the afternoon we have Dr. Hilary Vowles from the specialist inpatient service for Deaf people, the John Denmark Unit, talking about the role AMHPs can play in the experience of Deaf patients, and Polly Turner, psychologist and academic with Phil Appleton, social care manager at Ashworth Hospital, presenting on personality disorder.
The next AMHPA event will be the annual conference held in North Wales. Once again, this will be at Theatre Clwyd in Mold and this year will take place on Friday 10th June 2016 and the flyer for this event can by downloaded by clicking here.

We have Peter Edwards and Sarah Edwards from Peter Edwards Law talking about developments in mental health law (and we hope the imminently anticipated update to the Wales Code of Practice), we have Professor Rob Poole from the University of Bangor presenting on out-of-area admissions, Jake Mills, a stand-up comedian and mental health campaigner talking from his own experience of a suicide attempt, and Rob Mitchell and Elaine James from Calderdale Council talking about the innovations they are pushing forward in the delivery of mental health services.
